Background
When Black Image Center decided to close it’s physical doors and not renew their lease, they knew they needed to have one last moment for the community who loved the space as their own, to celebrate. Red Eye had a little over three weeks to plan Black Image Center’s goodbye party.
The Impact
Over 300 people came through the doors on April 27, 2025 to say goodbye to the Black Image Center’s physical space. Local vendors, businesses, and creatives were hired, ensuring a positive impact on Black Image Center stakeholders and local economy.
