Juneteenth Studio Kickback

Key Elements:

  1. A sponsored product open bar

  2. A quick turn raffle for fundraising efforts

  3. Games and dj’s to keep  guest entertained

Background

Following a busy season Black image Center sought support for a low lift event to activate their community on Juneteenth. The center has had an influx of programming in 2024 so as their internal team facilitated larger residency programs, they teamed up with us for a smaller community activation.

The Solution

With so many parties and large scale events on the favored holiday we wanted to provide a low-key space to enjoy the mid week holiday with a kickback/happy hour. We curated a DJ line up but kept it an open space to stop by to say hi or to hang out. We also streamed the Kendrick and Friends concert for those who were interested in watching, creating a community filled and community-fueled space.

The Impact

In every project we touch, our goal is to make an impact in the community, whether small of large. The owner of Black Image Center has personal connections to those suffering as a result of the War in Gaza, so we sold low-cost raffle tickets and were able to donate all of the proceeds to the ongoing efforts of an organization supporting families in Gaza.
