Background
The first Picture Day was Red Eye’s first event under The LA Yearbook event universe. Picture Day took place on June 15, 2024. The event’s main goal was to capture portraits of the community to compile for our community. We hired two professional portrait photographers, Momodu Mansaray and Qurissy Lopez. We hired three popular LA DJs, Blue the Great, Rosegawd, and Aye Mitch to score the evening. We worked with alcohol brands: Juneshine and Mezcal Los Javis to stock the bar. And, we activated small businesses and brands for our raffle giveaway. It was a beautiful afternoon celebrating LA’s favorite creatives, brands, and businesses!
The Impact
163 guests purchased tickets and 149 unique portraits were taken. We hosted over 15 local brands and found an innovative way to bring our community together.
